Make a Difference Every Day Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a number of schools in the Salisbury area seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in a supportive educational environment. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs Support students with their academic, social and emotional development Implement strategies to promote engagement and positive behaviour Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment What You'll Need ✅ Previous experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs ✅ A genuine passion for supporting children and young people ✅ Strong communication and relationship-building skills ✅ An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one ✅ The right to work in the UK Desirable ⭐ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification ⭐ Experience within a school, specialist provision or alternative setting What Hays Offers Competitive rates of pay Flexible working opportunities Access to a wide range of schools and settings Free safeguarding and CPD training Dedicated support from a specialist Education Consultant Holiday pay and pension scheme Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
