Job Description
As a Graduate R&D Engineer, you will support the development of innovative products and technologies across the business. You'll work closely with engineering, design, procurement and production teams to research new solutions, assist with product testing and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities will include: Supporting research and evaluation of new technologies and materials. Assisting with product development, testing and validation activities. Producing technical reports and documenting findings. Supporting prototype design and development projects. Conducting technical investigations and performance analysis. Working with internal stakeholders to identify cost-effective engineering solutions. Assisting with supplier evaluations and technology benchmarking. Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to bring new products to market. Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed specifications and timescales. What you'll need to succeed Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Strong interest in research, development and product innovation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and report-writing ability. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop. Placement year or project experience within manufacturing, engineering or product development would be advantageous.
