Netball Coach – Hendon Leisure Centre GLL is looking for a Netball Coach to work at Hendon Leisure Centre in Barnet, North West London . As a Netball Coach, you’ll sit within our Junior Brands Division , as the majority of our sports courses are delivered to children. Nationally, over 120,000 children attend our sports courses. As a Netball Coach, you’ll be highly motivated and committed to engaging and inspiring pupils of all ages and abilities within a safe setting. Providing a fun, friendly and encouraging environment, you’ll pass on your knowledge to help improve pupils’ netball performance while teaching the fundamental skills of the game. You’ll get great satisfaction from seeing pupils progress, develop their confidence and enjoy playing netball. Your Level 2 Netball Coaching qualification or above will ensure that you can comfortably deliver high-quality sessions at a variety of levels, abilities and age groups, from children through to experienced adults. What you need: A can-do attitude A real focus on customer service Passion and personality Knowledge of health and safety Be a great team player A recognised Netball Coaching qualification – Level 2 or above A First Aid qualification Experience of coaching netball in a community setting Knowledge of netball rules, techniques and fundamental skills The ability to adapt sessions to suit different ages and abilities The ability to create a positive, inclusive and encouraging coaching environment What you’ll do: You will be responsible for the delivery of a well-structured netball programme, focusing on progression and the development of your pupils. Deliver high-quality netball coaching sessions. Teach and develop fundamental netball skills, including passing, catching, footwork, shooting, defending and attacking. Develop pupils’ understanding of teamwork, communication, positioning and game awareness. Improve the level of coaching and increase participation numbers on the programme. Be aware of pupils’ individual abilities, needs and development. Adapt coaching sessions to ensure they are suitable, challenging and enjoyable for all participants. Maintain a good and positive image of the Centre to customers and the public generally by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional service. Set up and safely store coaching equipment. Deliver first-class customer service. Deal with customer queries and provide appropriate support to pupils and parents/guardians. Ensure all sessions are delivered in a safe, professional and inclusive environment.
