As a Relief Play Leader, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where they can do exactly that. This is a flexible relief role where you’ll provide support when needed, working alongside a dedicated team to deliver engaging activities and positive experiences for children and families. What you’ll do You’ll help plan and deliver activities that are fun, inclusive and shaped around the needs and interests of the children and young people we support. You’ll: * Plan and deliver creative, engaging and inclusive play activities * Create a safe and welcoming environment where children feel valued and supported * Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers * Encourage children to share their ideas and have a say in the activities they take part in * Support children’s wellbeing, confidence, development and independence * Make sure activities are delivered safely and appropriate health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained * Work closely with colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations * Help create an inclusive environment where every child feels welcome What we’re looking for You’ll bring enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine interest in supporting children and young people. You’ll bring warmth, enthusiasm and creativity, along with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people. You’ll be confident building positive relationships with children and families, communicating with others and working as part of a team. You’ll be flexible, organised and able to plan and manage activities safely, while responding to the changing needs of the service. You’ll also be comfortable using basic IT systems, including Microsoft Office and the internet. Most importantly, you’ll understand the value of play, encouragement and positive relationships in helping children build confidence and thrive.
