We are now looking for a Teacher of Horticulture and Project Worker to join us on a permanent, part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week.

The Role

As a Teacher of Horticulture and Project Worker, you will deliver horticultural learning and practical activities that help adults gain qualifications, build confidence and develop valuable life and employability skills.

Planning, delivering and assessing engaging horticultural skills certificate and diploma courses across our ESCAPE Project sites, you will support learners with a range of abilities and needs to achieve their goals across both practical and classroom-based activities.

You will also help coordinate project activities, volunteers and the day-to-day running of the sites, whilst maintaining high standards of delivery.

Additionally, you will:

- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate assessment and achievement records
- Provide pastoral support, creating a safe, inclusive environment
- Support the recruitment, induction and training of volunteers
- Provide guidance and supervision to volunteers
- Help maintain equipment, tools and project sites
- Cover teaching across the King's Lynn sites when required

About You

You will need:

- Experience of supporting individuals with diverse learning and support needs
- Knowledge of horticultural practices and garden maintenance
- An understanding of assessment and quality assurance processes
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A recognised teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one
- A relevant horticultural qualification at Level 2 or above
- A full, valid driving licence and access to transport
