IT Apprentice

You will support the internal IT infrastructure and provide first-level technical support to employees. This role is designed for an individual eager to learn and develop their technical skills in a real-world professional environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to work under the guidance of senior engineers to maintain system stability, deploy hardware/software, resolve basic technical issues, and assist with asset management.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Troubleshooting• Act as the first point of contact for technical queries via ticketing system or email.• Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and software (OS, productivity suites).• Assist in the installation, configuration, and updating of software applications.• Guide end-users through basic technical processes to improve digital literacy.Infrastructure & Maintenance• Assist in the deployment and setup of new workstations and peripheral devices.• Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets (hardware and software licenses).• Help monitor network connectivity and report outages or performance lags.Documentation & Learning• Create and update "How-To" guides and knowledge base articles for end-users.• Document technical issues and the steps taken to resolve them.• Attend training sessions and complete required certifications as part of the apprenticeship program.How We’ll Measure Success Together• Ticket Resolution: Ability to resolve basic tickets independently over time.• Learning Progress: Successful completion of assigned training modules or certifications.• Accuracy: Precision in maintaining the IT asset inventory.• Reliability: Timely response to support requests and adherence to company policies.About CompanySamsung Cambridge Solution Centre (SCSC) is a specialised research and development which forms part of Samsung Semiconductor S.LSI division.
