For many adults, urban isolation is a heavy, daily reality. SUNSHINE exists to change that — boldly, joyfully, and unapologetically. We bring positivity , warmth , and human connection into the lives of people who need it most. And now, we’re looking for a Tower Hamlets Community Leader to spearhead our borough-wide programmes, activities, and volunteer mobilisation. This is your chance to lead a movement that helps isolated residents step out of loneliness and into community, colour, and connection. What You’ll Lead 1. Champion SUNSHINE in Tower Hamlets You will be the driving force behind all local activities, programmes, and community engagement that bring SUNSHINE into people’s lives. 2. Build Human Connection Design, coordinate, and deliver positive, uplifting community activities — from social meetups to creative workshops — that help lonely residents feel seen, valued, and supported. 3. Grow a Local Volunteer Team Recruit, inspire, and organise a small team of volunteers who will help run SUNSHINE Programmes across the borough. 4. Be the Community Voice Engage with residents, local groups, community centres, and partner organisations to raise awareness of loneliness, reduce stigma, and invite people into our warm, welcoming spaces. 5. Bring the Borough to Life Capture stories, moments, and impact from your activities and work with our marketing volunteers to showcase Tower Hamlets as a beacon of positivity. Who We Need 1.
