Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park are our gateways to the natural world through which people can experience nature.How you’ll contribute to our missionUndertake project and programme analysis activities related to the delivery of digital and IT projects in support of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) vision and mission.This is a Fixed term, Full time role (37.5 hours per week usually Monday - Friday), expected to last for 6months, will be based at Edinburgh Zoo but includes some travel to Highland Wildlife ParkSome of the things you’ll do:Assists and contributes to the delivery of digital and IT projects, being primarily focused on a programme of works and projects to migrate the charity to the cloudLiaises with staff in department teams to understand their current processes and operations, and delivers solutions in line with the projects/programmes required outcomes and success criteriaConducts analysis of existing processes and user requirements using various techniques including workshops, 1-2-1 interviews, and surveys from business stakeholders to define the scope and use cases for the cloud migration programmeContributes to the preparation, co-ordination and execution of cloud migration project tasksMonitors progress and outcomes of key project/programme processes, reporting success and failures promptly to stakeholdersMay act as the primary point of contact for internal queries related to projects/programmes being undertakenWhat we’re looking for:Degree level or equivalent level IT qualification or experienceUnderstanding and co-ordination of activities to define and monitor project/programme scopeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues throughout RZSS and with third party partners and suppliersAccuracy and excellent attention to detail with a structured approach to tasksPrevious experience of project delivery in a large organisation, across multiple disciplines and departmentsExperience using Microsoft office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)What you’ll get in return:Starting salary between £25,867 to £26,514 per annum (offer based on experience)37.5hr working week34 days annual leave (pro rata)Discount in both retail/cateringAccess to a healthcare planAccess to Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), that provide 24-hour counselling and support, including health, legal, finance, wellbeing and family adviceEmployer contributory pension schemeYou will receive a staff membership which will give you (and family/friends) free (and discounted) entry to both the Highland Wildlife Park and Edinburgh Zoo as well as a number of other Zoo’s across the UK.
