Location: Edinburgh Seafield Hours: Monday to Friday, (36 hours per week) Pay Rate: £14.51 per hour Duration: Temporary ongoing Start Date: Immediate Full Clean UK Cat B Driving Licence Essential The Role We’re looking for a reliable and organised Laboratory Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy laboratory. Duties will include: Preparing, cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment and glassware Handling, organising, storing and disposing of samples safely Maintaining stock levels of laboratory supplies Keeping laboratory and communal areas clean and organised Supporting sample deliveries and collections Assisting scientific staff with basic laboratory tasks About You Ideally, you’ll have: A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific subject Previous laboratory experience, ideally within a UKAS-accredited environment Excellent attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach Good communication and teamwork skills A valid driving licence (essential) This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable hands-on laboratory experience within the public sector.
