The Role As an Event Sales Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving the commercial success of a growing portfolio of events. You’ll be responsible for developing new business, building relationships with exhibitors and commercial partners, managing your own sales pipeline and selling event opportunities to both new and existing clients. This is a proactive, target-driven role for someone who loves sales, enjoys building relationships and wants to see the results of their work come to life at successful events. Key Responsibilities Proactively generate new business and identify potential exhibitors and commercial partners through outbound calls, research and relationship building. Sell exhibition space and other commercial opportunities across a portfolio of events. Build and manage your own sales pipeline from initial prospecting through to close. Achieve and exceed individual revenue targets and KPIs. Develop strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing exhibitors. Understand clients’ objectives and identify the most suitable event opportunities for their business. Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and grow existing accounts. Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline and client information within the CRM. Attend company and competitor events to build relationships, research the market and generate new leads. Work collaboratively with the wider events and sales teams to share leads and maximise commercial opportunities. Ensure contracts, bookings and event documentation are completed accurately and on time. Follow internal payment and administration processes. Represent the business professionally with clients, exhibitors and industry contacts. About You We’re looking for someone commercially driven, confident and hungry to build a career within event sales. You’ll enjoy speaking to people, spotting opportunities and turning conversations into revenue. You’ll ideally have: Previous experience within Event Sales, Media Sales, Business Development, Telesales, Account Management or another target-driven sales environment. Confidence prospecting and winning new business over the phone. A natural ability to build relationships with clients and understand what they’re trying to achieve. A proactive, resilient approach – you’re not afraid to pick up the phone and create your own opportunities. A strong commercial mindset with the motivation to achieve and exceed targets. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle. Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and activity. A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress within the events industry. Previous event sales experience would be fantastic, but we’re equally interested in strong salespeople who can demonstrate the drive, personality and commercial ability to succeed within the events world.
