As a Housekeeping Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the well-being and comfort of the people in our care by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the service. Your work will help ensure that residents, visitors, and colleagues enjoy a pleasant, safe, and comfortable environment, contributing directly to the dignity, well-being, and quality of life of those we support. Working Hours 16 hours per week Working days: Monday and Friday Shift times: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm About the Squirrels: The Squirrels is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, prom oting independence and community integration. Why Cygnet? Strong career progression opportunities Expert supervision & support Employee referral scheme Pension scheme Employee Discount Savings NHS Discount Savings Your Day-to-Day: Carry out daily and scheduled cleaning tasks across the service Maintain cleanliness in communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and staff spaces Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively Work as part of a supportive team to ensure a welcoming environment Replenish stock & ensure that equipment is clean & well-maintained Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations You are: Experienced in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable) Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable) Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude A good communicator Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
