Part-Time Receptionist
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
- 2 days: 8:00am to 5:00pm
- 1 half day: 8:00am to 12:30pm
Our client is looking for a professional, organised and customer-focused Receptionist to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for visitors and callers while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a busy office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering outstanding front-of-house service and providing administrative and facilities support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls, emails and enquiries promptly, directing them to the appropriate person and acting as a gatekeeper where required.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service through the centralised reception function.
- Coordinate diaries, meeting rooms and business priorities, resolving scheduling conflicts as needed.
- Arrange travel, accommodation, parking, taxis and car hire in line with company policy.
- Manage office supplies and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Support facilities management, ensuring the office remains presentable, safe and efficiently maintained.
- Administer building access for new starters and leavers, including door fob management.
- Conduct fire alarm and emergency exit testing and maintain accurate records.
- Raise purchase orders and process invoices relating to facilities and health & safety.
- Coordinate catering for meetings and company events.
- Process expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support the planning and delivery of company events and projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for the company pool vehicle, coordinating servicing, maintenance and repairs.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Receptionist, Front of House or Office Administration role.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience managing diaries, travel arrangements and general office administration.
- Confident liaising with external suppliers and service providers.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
