Plant Propagation Technician

Forestart is the premier supplier in the UK of tree and shrub seed, supporting forestry, conservation and amenity planting across the country. We collect, process and supply high-quality seed, as well as cuttings and young plants, from our sites near Shrewsbury.

We are looking for a Plant Propagation Technician to join our horticultural team. This hands-on role involves propagating trees and shrubs from seed and cuttings, caring for young plants, maintaining growing areas and supporting plant production throughout the seasons. You will help monitor plant health, maintain accurate records, and ensure high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.

The role involves working in polytunnels and outdoors in all weather conditions and includes manual handling, lifting and standing for long periods.

We are looking for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, has good attention to detail and is keen to learn. Previous horticultural or plant propagation experience is desirable but not essential.
