Assembly Operative - St Helens
£24,804 per annum (£12.72 per hour) | Permanent | Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm, Friday 7:00am-12:30pm
Kinetic Recruitment are supporting a growing manufacturing business based in St Helens with the recruitment of a Permanent Assembly Operative.
The company is part of an established group specialising in equipment for telecoms networks and continues to grow year on year.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role involving the assembly of cabinets, panels and components to technical drawings and specifications. You will use a range of hand tools, follow assembly instructions and ensure completed products meet the required quality standards.
Previous assembly or relevant manufacturing experience is required. Experience assembling cabinets, enclosures, panels, frames or similar products would be advantageous.
The Role
As an Assembly Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Assembling cabinets, panels and components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
Using hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
Following assembly instructions, drawings and production specifications.
Measuring and checking components during the assembly process.
Ensuring products are assembled correctly and to the required standard.
Carrying out quality checks and reporting any defects or issues.
Working to production targets and agreed timescales.
Safely moving components and completed products as required.
Reporting equipment faults or problems to the Team Leader or Manager.
Maintaining good housekeeping within the work area.
Following all company Health & Safety procedures.
Working as part of a team to meet daily production requirements.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or a similar hands-on production environment.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, diagrams or assembly instructions.
Experience using hand tools.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow instructions and work to set specifications.
Ability to work to production targets while maintaining quality.
Good communication skills.
Reliable and consistent approach to work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
Experience assembling cabinets, enclosures, panels, frames or similar products.
Experience working with metal or manufactured components.
Experience using drills, screwdrivers, spanners, rivet tools or other hand tools.
Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
