Job Description
As a Digital Catalogue Volunteer, you will help organise and catalogue digital files created from the scanning of photographs and other archive material generously donated by Aden veterans. Your role will be to catalogue these digital files accurately and consistently, creating a searchable resource that preserves this important history. By helping to build this archive, you will ensure that the stories and experiences of those who served in the Aden Emergency - often referred to as The Forgotten War - remain accessible for future generations. Thanks to donations, we have preserved more than 500 photographs, alongside a wide range of historically significant items. Together, they provide a unique insight into life during the Aden Emergency, capturing comradeship, military life, travel, landscapes, vehicles and the everyday experiences of those who served.
