Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with previous experience delivering design on large scale infrastructure projects?
 
Have you previously worked within the Rail sector?
 
Location: Hybrid - 3+ days per week in the office (London)
Rate: Up to £420 per day
Contract: Outside IR35 / Contract
Length: Ongoing
Level: Intermediate to Senior
 
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support a range of major UK infrastructure projects across transport, highways and utilities.
 
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, producing mechanical designs and technical documentation across several live projects.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·Produce mechanical designs, calculations and specifications
·Develop designs from concept through to detailed design
·Prepare and review drawings and technical documentation
·Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical and architectural teams
·Attend design reviews and provide technical input
Experience Required
 
·Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
·Background in rail
·Experience delivering design packages on complex projects
 
This role would suit an Intermediate or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a contract opportunity on large-scale infrastructure projects.
