We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cleaner (Zero Hours) to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

Overall Purpose of the Role
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment by carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with company standards, site procedures, health and safety requirements, and customer expectations.
The Cleaner will contribute to a positive customer experience by ensuring all designated areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties in designated areas as directed by the Line Manager or Supervisor.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with agreed cleaning schedules and company standards.
- Clean and sanitise floors, surfaces, washrooms, kitchens, offices, accommodation, and communal areas as required.
- Replenish consumables such as toilet tissue, hand soap, paper towels, and other hygiene products.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery in accordance with training and COSHH requirements.
- Conduct routine checks of cleaning equipment and report defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure any hazards, accidents, near misses, spillages, or unsafe conditions are reported immediately to the Line Manager.
- Store cleaning materials and equipment safely and securely after use.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Safety (where applicable), and Security procedures.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures where required.
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Complete cleaning records, checklists, timesheets, and other documentation as required.
- Work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues when required.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers, colleagues, and visitors.
- Attend training sessions and toolbox talks as required.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Line Manager.
- To comply with all ESS and Compass Group policies and procedures.
- To demonstrate ESS values and behaviours at all times.
- To work flexibly in line with business requirements.
- To attend team meetings and mandatory training as required.
