We are looking for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Hastings , working closely with students with Autism (ASC) . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is patient, compassionate, and committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and socially. The Role As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Autism. Help pupils access the curriculum by adapting learning activities where required. Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent strategies. Support students in developing communication, independence, and confidence. Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to ensure every student reaches their full potential. We're Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working with children or young people with Autism (school, care, youth work, or similar settings). Is calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships. Has excellent communication and teamwork skills. Can adapt to the individual needs of each student.
