Job Description

Electrical Assembly Operative Our client, based in Tewkesbury, is seeking an experienced Production Operative to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to become part of a supportive and growing team where full training is provided, and there is real progression opportunity up to Team Leader/ Production Manager level. The successful candidate will be involved in electrical assembly and wiring duties, while also supporting the warehouse with picking and packing during busy periods. To apply for this role, you will ideally have electrical assembly and wiring experience, be reliable, computer literate, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Duties: - Assemble and wire bespoke electrical distribution products, such as combination units, terminal boxes, switch panels, control cabinets, and consoles. - Read works orders, BOM’s, drawings and specifications provided to manufacture modular electrical assemblies. - Connect wiring to circuit breakers, plugs, switches, terminals and electrical equipment using hand tools and power tools. - Crimp terminals and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping devices. - Conduct functional and continuity testing of electrical assemblies, components, harnesses, and plugs using electrical testing equipment. - Mechanical assembly of components prior to wiring, including cutting and preparation of plastic, metal and GRP enclosures. - Help warehouse pick and pack on an ad-hoc basis. Previous Experience - Electrical assembly and wiring experience preferred - Reliable, team player Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5pm Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience + benefits including free parking, internal career development, plus ongoing training support.
