About Us Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK's leading charity dedicated to uniting for a life unlimited for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis (CF). CF is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting over 11,000 people across the UK. We fund vital research, campaign for access to life-changing treatments, and provide support to people living with CF and their families. About the Role Every year, incredible supporters across the UK raise funds for people affected by cystic fibrosis. We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help us celebrate, support and encourage those fundraisers in their local communities, ensuring they feel valued and connected to Cystic Fibrosis Trust. By volunteering with us, you'll help ensure fundraisers feel valued and supported, and we'll give you everything you need to feel confident in the role. Full training and support will be provided. Community-based in your local area As a Community Fundraising Volunteer, you'll play an important role in helping us build relationships with fundraisers and supporters in your local area. Whether you're attending events, thanking supporters, delivering fundraising resources or sharing local insight, you'll help ensure fundraisers feel appreciated and connected to the impact they're having. Flexible time commitment This is a flexible, ongoing volunteer opportunity that can fit around your existing commitments. What You'll Be Doing You could support us in a variety of ways, including: Attending fundraising events and representing Cystic Fibrosis Trust in your local area. Thanking supporters and organisers, including giving a short speech if you're comfortable doing so. Delivering and collecting fundraising materials and resources. Collecting and returning collection tins and donation boxes securely. Sharing local knowledge and helping identify potential fundraising or partnership opportunities. Providing occasional support to Community Fundraisers with local fundraising activities and events. We recognise that every volunteer brings different strengths, experiences and interests, and aspects of the role can be tailored accordingly. Who We're Looking For We're looking for people who: Are enthusiastic about supporting the work of Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Enjoy meeting and communicating with a variety of people. Have a friendly, positive and people-centred approach. Feel comfortable working independently, while knowing support is available when needed. Have basic IT skills and access to email and a phone. Are willing and able to travel locally to support fundraising activities. Experience in fundraising or volunteering is helpful but not essential. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of cystic fibrosis, either directly or through a family member, although this is not a requirement. Why Volunteer with Us? Time Commitment This is an ongoing volunteer role with a flexible commitment based on your availability and local opportunities. Support may be required on weekdays, evenings and weekends, depending on the activities you choose to get involved in.
