We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Early Years Practitioner in our Bristol East and Central Team. Join our dedicated 0–19 Public Health Nursing team as a Community Early Years Practitioner and make a lasting difference to children and families across BNSSG. Working alongside Health Visitors, you'll deliver evidence-based early intervention, empower parents, promote healthy child development, and provide support in homes and community settings. This role is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Main duties of the job You will work as part of a skill mix team, supporting delivery of integrated, evidence-based services for children & their families. Focusing on prevention, promotion, early intervention, improving health and reducing health inequalities. Using a holistic and sensitive approach to support parents with their children's social, emotional and developmental needs, working in family homes, children's centres, and other community settings in Bristol East &Central. Working in partnership with families to deliver evidence-based interventions promoting attuned and sensitive parenting and support the social, emotional and developmental needs of children. You will work largely autonomously (lone working is a feature of the role) with supervision. There will be times when you access additional support or provide additional support with colleagues. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and recording your allocated work and liaising with Health Visitors and other colleagues. This role requires a flexible, warm & reflective practitioner committed to ongoing development of skills and knowledge in order to maintain the excellent standards of the service.
