Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join our Construction Admin Team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the civil engineering and construction industry while working towards a recognised Business Administration qualification. Working closely with our Construction Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Construction Director, Project Managers, and Engineers, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient set up of construction projects.The role is office-based and will involve supporting the team with a wide range of administrative activities, project documentation, compliance records, and business processes. Full training will be provided on all company systems and procedures. Key areas of responsibility will include assisting with project administration, maintaining Health & Safety records, supporting quality management processes, updating company databases and trackers, preparing documents, and ensuring records are accurate and up to date. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build strong organisational, communication, and IT skills. This role would suit an individual who is organised, keen to learn, has good attention to detail, is self motivated and enjoys working as part of a team. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will provide general administrative support and undertake ad hoc duties as required to support the Construction Team and wider business.You will assist with:- Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately.- Greeting visitors and handling deliveries professionally.- Managing emails and correspondence.- Filing and maintaining electronic and paper records.- Updating company databases and spreadsheets.- Supporting project teams with document control activities.- Preparing reports, letters and meeting notes.- Updating employee, project and compliance records.- Assisting with health and safety and quality documentation.- Scheduling meetings and managing calendars.- Ordering office supplies.- Maintaining accurate records across company systems.- Supporting managers with general administration duties as required.
