The SZC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project. #SZCJobs Slinger (Sizewell C) Ballycommon Sizewell C Main Duties: Slinging and signalling for cranes, excavators, telehandlers, and other plant Attaching and detaching loads, ensuring secure lifting procedures are followed Communicating effectively with crane operators and site teams via hand signals or radio Coordinating safe lifting operations in line with lift plans and risk assessments Supporting general lifting operations across civils, earthworks, and structural works Carrying out pre-use inspections of lifting accessories Ensuring a safe working area during lifting activities and reporting any unsafe practices Qualifications/Experience: CPCS or NPORS Slinger/Signaller ticket (A40 or equivalent - all duties endorsement preferred) Valid CSCS card Safety-critical medical (or willingness to obtain) Right to work in the UK Full PPE Demonstrable experience in slinging/signalling on large construction or civils projects Familiarity with complex and high-risk lifting operations Experience working alongside mobile cranes, tower cranes, and telehandlers Clear communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple trades Understanding of lift plans, exclusion zones, and working under strict safety protocols Previous work on nuclear, rail, or other high-security/high-regulation sites desirable SC or BPSS clearance (or willingness to undergo vetting) IPAF, telehandler, or other plant tickets Multi-skilled (e.g. experience assisting with groundworks or logistics) For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
