Job Description
Salary: £9,253 (pro rata) per annum (£23,132 FTE)
Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months
Hours: 14 hours per week. Flexibility in working pattern, in agreement with line manager
Based: Compass House, Farmoor, Oxford, with some home working. Travel to BBOWT nature reserves as required.

The Ecology Intern will help nature recover by processing and analysing surveying data, providing general admin support to the Ecology Team and helping collect rigorous ecological survey data from nature reserves. The role sits within the Ecology Team, within our Land Management Directorate.
What you’ll be doing
- Take a lead in data entry of ongoing survey data collected from BBOWT nature reserves
- Assist in analysing survey data and report writing
- Provide general administration support to the Ecology Team, such as logging survey data, archiving and scanning survey data, proof reading reports etc
- Undertake simple survey work on BBOWT nature reserves as per the annual survey work plan
- Assist the ecology team with more skilled survey work
What we’re looking for
- A team player who will work well with the existing Ecology Team and interact positively with members of the public and volunteers
- Someone with basic UK wildlife identification skills
- Someone with skills and knowledge to carry out ecological surveys
- Someone with an interest in British Wildlife/Conservation
- Good data entry accuracy skills.
