Job Description
We are looking for English teachers or tutors to provide one-to-one, group or asynchronous lessons to Palestinians aged 13+ and adults for at least 3 months. All volunteers must complete training before they begin. The autumn term will run from 13/09/26 to 20/12/26. What will you be doing? Applying the concepts learned through trauma-informed and emergency education training. Delivering weekly 90-minute lessons, plus 30–60 minutes of preparation for at least 3 months. Creating a supportive, positive learning environment. Tailoring methods to individual learner needs. Filling in a weekly check-in form to track attendance and student progress. What are we looking for? Tutoring Experience, or TEFL/CELTA Certification Ability to prepare structured and engaging lessons Strong communication and teaching skills Flexibility Empathy What difference will you make? This role is crucial because it enables Palestinian students to learn English, French and German alongside volunteers from around the world. Proficiency in English opens the door to a wider range of work and educational opportunities. Students can work for humanitarian organisations on the ground or find remote opportunities thanks to their English skills. English is also essential for scholarships. Furthermore, proficiency in English enables students to contribute to their community and have their voices heard on the global stage.
