About The Prince & Princess of Wales HospiceThe Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a respected and well-established charity based in the heart of Glasgow, at 20 Dumbreck Road, Bellahouston Park, G41 5BW.We provide compassionate, specialist palliative care to individuals with life-limiting, progressive illnesses, and offer vital support to their families and carers, ensuring dignity, comfort, and quality of life during difficult times.About this roleWe’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Community Fundraiser to help grow income and strengthen relationships across our local communities.You’ll play a key role in delivering our busy collection can programme (circa 950 sites), supporting supporter-led fundraising, and building meaningful connections with individuals, groups, and businesses. From managing collection routes and volunteers to developing new opportunities and representing the hospice at events, all whilst stewarding our supporters. This is a varied and hands-on role at the heart of our community.Working as part of our Income Generation team, you’ll contribute to delivering sustainable income growth while championing the hospice’s mission and impact.What you’ll be doingManaging and growing our collection can network, including banking, reporting, and performance trackingBuilding strong relationships with local businesses, community groups, and supportersSupporting community fundraising activities, including bucket collections and eventsEngaging supporters and helping them maximise their fundraisingIdentifying new opportunities to increase income and awarenessWorking collaboratively across teams and with volunteersRepresenting the hospice in the community and through digital channelsWhat we’re looking forStrong relationship-building skills with a warm, empathetic approachExcellent organisation and time management skillsConfident communicator - both written and verbalA positive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to use your initiativeAbility to adapt your communication style to connect with a range of audiencesCalm and focused in a busy and ever-changing environmentAble to work independently as well as part of a teamA full UK drivers licence (a hospice vehicle is available for use)What you can expect from usWe know that great care starts with a great team.
