Job details Job Title: Security Officer Reporting to: Security Manager & Supervisor Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off roster pattern, 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, and weekends. Avg 42hrs per week. Shift pattern: 2 days 2 nights 4 off (07:00 – 19:00) OBJECTIVE To work as a member of the security team for the protection of persons and property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment. Working within this high-profile environment your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout. DUTIES The maintenance of good order in all UniTrust sites including protection against violent acts, abuse and accident. The protection of a client’s property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and waste. The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff and visitors against loss, theft and damage. Prevent offences against the law of the land, UniTrust disciplinary codes and policies and ensure all are brought to the attention of the management. Use X- Ray machines to carry out airport type of security searches, at any of the three entrances.Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear.Maintain vigilance on the public within sight of all areas for damage, theft etc. and deal effectively with offenders Internal and external patrolling Monitoring and responding to CCTV and intruder alarms Liaising with the client’s staff for out of hours service calls General security duties as required.
