We are seeking a motivated and proactive Research Administrator to join the Community and Primary Care Research Centre (CPCRC) at the University of Plymouth, where you will play a central role in supporting innovative research and work alongside researchers, clinicians, people with lived experience, and community partners to deliver meaningful impact. About the role: As a key member of the Professional Services team, you will help support the day-to-day operation of the research centre, acting as a visible, approachable, and reliable first point of contact for colleagues, visitors, and stakeholders. You will contribute to the smooth running of Centre activities by delivering a responsive, customer-focused, and efficient administrative support service. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of activities. You will: Support the organisation of meetings, events, and workshops; coordinate travel and logistics. Manage shared inboxes and enquiries. Provide administrative support for research projects and funding applications. Help maintain accurate records, prepare documentation. Contribute to the delivery of research that makes a positive difference to communities, health services, and people with lived experience. For this role, you will need to be on site 4 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs. This role requires in-person attendance in the office from Monday to Thursday, with remote working on Fridays. This position is offered on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) on a fixed-term contract for 12 months in the first instance due to funding. You will have strong IT skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service, alongside a proactive and solutions-focused approach to supporting colleagues and contributing to the success of the Centre. Experience of working in an administrative and customer-focused role is essential, while experience within a higher education, research, or healthcare environment would be advantageous.
