Job DescriptionPost Title: Community Works Operative 4 (Other) - 2 posts Location: Across the Highlands, based at highland Council Headquarters, InvernessHours: 35 hours per week Duration: Fixed Term for 12 months with possible extension to 23 months dependent on fundingSalary: £26,717 - £29,247 per annumSalary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.
Contact Person: Lyn Ross Email: Lynn/Ross3@highland.gov.ukJob Purpose: To support the maintenance, inspection and upkeep of bus stops, shelters and associated passenger transport infrastructure across the Highland Council area. The postholder will carry out routine inspections, minor repairs, cleaning, timetable information updates and condition recording to help ensure bus infrastructure is safe, accessible, clean and fit for purpose. The role will support the delivery of Bus Infrastructure Fund activity by providing accurate site information, photographs and maintenance records to colleagues responsible for defect management, works programming, contractor liaison and wider Integrated Transport Team priorities.
