Location: Newark Depot
Via East Midlands is looking for two Arborist / Climbersto join our Forestry team based in Newark. We deliver essential highway and infrastructure services across Nottinghamshire and are committed to making a positive impact in local communities.
What you'll do
- Carry out forestry operations including aerial tree pruning, tree removal, climbing activities, hedge cutting, tree planting, wood chipping and stump grinding.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Conduct routine vehicle, plant and equipment checks.
- Complete risk assessments and required documentation.
- Maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism.
What we're looking for
- Minimum one year of arboricultural experience.
- Experience climbing mature trees and undertaking aerial tree works.
- Relevant Lantra/NVQ certification in aerial tree work.
- Full Category B driving licence (C+E and Driver CPC desirable).
- Good understanding of health and safety, working at height and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and participate in an emergency call-out rota.
- Competent using digital systems for work management, timesheets and safety records.
