We are a small, highly collaborative, and busy administrative team responsible for the smooth running of the broader AMRC group, which encompasses approximately 600 staff across multiple sites. As a core member of our administrative function, we deal with: Financial Administration: Accurately processing purchase orders, reconciling staff expenses, and managing credit card purchases in alignment with university guidelines. Query Resolution & Liaison: Acting as a reliable point of contact for internal staff and external customers; working closely with other University of Sheffield departments, such as the Central Payments Team, to resolve invoice queries. Enquiries: Efficiently managing and filtering general enquiries via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions to ensure a high-standard response. Team Contribution: Seamlessly collaborating with administrative colleagues to maintain a balanced workload and ensure the smooth continuity of daily operations. To succeed in this position, you must bring a balance of professional administrative competence and excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Outstanding Customer Service: Proven experience working in a customer-facing or front-of-house role with a professional, welcoming manner. Dynamic Teamwork & Initiative: A proven capability to collaborate productively within a close-knit team environment alongside the confidence to work independently using your own initiative when handling tasks. Technical Proficiency: Competence and practical experience navigating both Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Drive). Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in numeric and financial data entry, essential for processing transactions and resolving invoice disputes. £25,249 to £26,707 per annum (pro-rata). Potential to progress to £28,031 per annum (pro-rata) through sustained exceptional contribution.
