Employability & Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Employability & Behaviour Mentor to join our Further Education team . This rewarding role involves supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour and attendance, develop employability skills, and progress successfully into further education, training or employment. Pay: From £20.00 per hour Hours: Full-Time, 36 Hours per Week Interviews: Scheduled for 11th & 12th August Contract: Temporary/Ongoing Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students requiring behavioural, pastoral and employability support. Support learners in developing positive behaviours, resilience, confidence and self-esteem. Implement behaviour support strategies and interventions to improve engagement and achievement. Monitor attendance, punctuality and learner progress, encouraging positive outcomes. Work with students to identify barriers to learning and develop action plans to support progression. Deliver employability workshops covering CV writing, interview preparation, workplace skills and career planning. Support students with progression into employment, apprenticeships, training or further study. Liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers and external agencies where appropriate. Maintain accurate records of student interventions, progress reviews and support plans. Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience working with young people or adults in an education, training, youth work, mentoring or support setting. Strong understanding of behaviour management and student engagement strategies. Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate, inspire and build positive relationships with learners. Strong organisational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Why Work With Us?
