Severe Learning Needs Support Leeds Permanent - Full Time (32.5 Hours per week) September 2026 Start The Role: Veritas Education are working with a complex needs setting looking for a number of permanent Severe Learning Needs Support staff members to join their team. The school supports children from 4 to 19 years old, with a range of severe, complex, medical and learning needs. With state of the art facilities including a hydro pool, sensory rooms and medical facilities, the school are looking for a committed, caring and passionate staff member to join their support team in providing essential care and education to their learners. Requirements: Previous experience supporting complex, physical, medical, learning and communication needs, with either children or adults in a previous role is essential. Comfortable supporting across all medical administration, personal care, changing and hygiene support requirements. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of special educational needs such as Autism, Asperger's, Down Syndrome, Sensory and Communication requirements. Show effective and suitable practice in the role, from being able to support learners with their education, and with their medical/healthcare needs too. Be pro-active and passionate, the school want a support team that care about their learners and are passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and fun learning environment for all to access. Adaptability and flexibility in this role is key, due to the needs of the children, staffing in each class can change in an instant.
