Connect Appointments have a new opportunity within the Livingston area for a Press Brake Operator to join our client's growing team on a permanent basis!Pay rate: 13 to 15 per hourWorking as a Press Brake Operator your duties will include:Select appropriate tooling, dies, and punches for each jobMeasure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specificationsMake necessary adjustments to the machine settings to achieve desired resultsSetting up and operating the press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal sheets as per engineering drawings and specificationsTroubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production processAdhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environmentPerform routine maintenance on the press brake machine to ensure its optimal performanceTo be successful you will ideally have proven experience as a Press Brake Operator within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal fabrication industry. Combined with:Proficient in setting up and operating brake press machineryStrong knowledge of metalworking techniques, tool, and equipmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsExcellent mathematical and measurement skillsDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracyStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to work in dependently and as part of a teamPhysical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when requiredThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to work in the manufacturing sector.
