Finance Apprentice (AAT) – Accountancy Practice Location: Manchester Salary: £8.00 per hour (Apprenticeship Rate) + Fully Funded AAT Qualification Hours: Full Time, Office Based Are you completing your A Levels this year and looking to start a rewarding career in accountancy? Our client, a well-established and highly respected accountancy practice in Manchester, is looking to recruit an ambitious Finance Apprentice to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while studying towards your AAT qualification, with the potential to progress to further professional qualifications in the future. Working alongside experienced accountants, you will receive full training and support whilst developing valuable technical and commercial skills. The Role Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining client financial records Processing purchase and sales invoices Bank reconciliations Supporting the preparation of VAT returns Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts Supporting payroll processing Liaising with clients and responding to queries General administration and office support About You We are looking for someone who: Has recently completed, or is due to complete, their A Levels Has strong GCSEs, including Maths and English (Grade 5/C or above) Is enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn Has excellent attention to detail Possesses good communication and organisational skills Has a genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance and accountancy Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel What's on Offer? £8.00 per hour Apprenticeship Rate Fully funded AAT apprenticeship and study support Structured training and mentoring from experienced accountants Clear career progression within the practice Exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries Friendly and supportive working environment Opportunity to progress to higher accountancy qualifications (ACA/ACCA) upon successful completion This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic A Level student or school leaver to gain a recognised qualification whilst earning a salary and building a successful long-term career in accountancy.
