Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mill Operative to join an established production business based in Ingliston, Edinburgh.Our client operates a busy feed mill producing compound animal feed, requiring an experienced operative to support production on a 4-on 4-off shift pattern across days and nights.What's on offer?Temporary position4-on 4-off shift pattern - rotating days and nightsPays starting 7am, nights starting 7pm30,000 per annumAs a Mill Operative, your duties will include:Operating heavy mill machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures to maximise throughput and feed qualityConducting daily stock takes and completing statutory records and production sheetsCarrying out quality control checks in line with food safety and health and safety requirementsLiaising with the engineering department to address breakdowns and minimise downtimeMaintaining a clean, safe and audit-ready production environmentTo be considered as a Mill Operative, you will need:Previous experience in a team-based manufacturing or production environmentExperience working to strict safety and quality standardsA minimum of National 5 or equivalent in Maths and EnglishStrong attention to detail with the ability to work proactively under minimal supervisionA relevant qualification or apprenticeship is preferred but not essentialConfined spaces certification is advantageous but full training providedInterested in this Mill Operative role?
