AAT Finance Apprentice

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Finance Apprentice to join our finance team and begin a long-term career in accountancy and finance.This opportunity is ideal for someone who has completed A-levels, or an equivalent qualification, and is interested in developing professionally through structured study and practical workplace experience.The intended pathway is for the successful candidate to begin with AAT and, subject to performance, progress and business needs, continue towards CIMA in the future. This is a long-term development opportunity for someone who is keen to grow with the organisation over several years.You will gain hands-on experience across key areas of finance while studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification through Kaplan. Key ResponsibilitiesThe role will develop over time, but duties may include:• Supporting the head of finance with day-to-day accounting tasks.• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining purchase ledger records.• Raising customer invoices and supporting sales ledger activity.• Assisting with bank reconciliations.• Supporting credit control and customer account queries.• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.• Assisting with month-end preparation and reporting.• Supporting the preparation of management information.• Learning how to use finance systems and accounting software.• Assisting with payroll, sales and corporation where appropriate.• Responding to internal and external finance queries in a professional manner.• Completing apprenticeship training, assignments and exams within agreed timescales.
