Machining Technician Apprenticeship

The company:West End Precision is a family-owned high volume manufacturingfacility based in Bideford, established for over 50 years and recentlyembracing the third generation of family management. We believe in a strongwork life balance operating 38 hours over a 4-day week, working from Monday toThursday as standard every week. The business operates with 3 classicdisciplines of primary production equipment; conventional CNC lathes, CNCsliding heads and multi-spindle Wickmans. The majority of our customers arebased in the UK, with a range of markets including Automotive & Aerospace,hydraulics and braking systems, producing circa 5M components each year.Operating to the IATF 16949 Quality standard is our normal practice, with thehighest expectations placed on the quality of all operations regardless of theapplication.You will be responsible for: Operating multiple machines to produce various parts while ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards, in a timely manner and in accordance with company procedures. To ensure safety and quality procedures are adhered to. Flexible approach to tasks. Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise your workload. The ability to work as part of a team is important. You should also be reliable, able to demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks, new methods and procedures.The role is 3 full days from 7am - 5.15pm and one day at NorthDevon College. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will begiven.West End Precision offers a company bonus scheme for all staffpayable twice yearly if profitability levels are maintained.
