Volunteer Video Editor / Filmmaker The Lyonic Scots Society Location: Remote (UK-based preferred) Hours: Flexible, part‑time volunteer role Start date: Immediate Commitment: One off / ongoing / project‑based About Us The Lyonic Scots Society is a heritage and cultural organisation dedicated to preserving and sharing the story of the Lyonic Scots — a community shaped by resilience, tradition, and Scottish identity. As we expand globally, we are building a powerful visual presence to bring our history, culture, and values to audiences worldwide. The Role We’re looking for a talented Video Editor / Filmmaker to help us produce compelling visual content. You’ll create short films, heritage documentaries, promotional videos, and storytelling pieces that showcase our culture and support our global outreach. What You’ll Do Produce short films , heritage documentaries, and storytelling videos Edit footage into polished, engaging content for social media and events Create promotional videos for campaigns, recruitment, and community projects Work with our communications team to develop visual narratives Help build a growing library of video content for global audiences What We’re Looking For Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) Ability to craft compelling visual stories Strong sense of pacing, narrative flow, and emotional impact Interest in Scottish heritage, culture, or community development Ability to work independently and meet creative briefs What You’ll Gain A chance to build a global filmmaking portfolio Experience contributing to a growing international charity Opportunities to shape the visual identity of a cultural movement Recognition in published films and promotional materials The satisfaction of helping preserve and promote Scottish heritage How to Apply Please send a short introduction and links to your video work or showreel to the CharityJob application link .
