Job Description
The Apprentice Sports Coach will support the delivery of sport, football sessions, physical activity and education sessions across schools, community venues and holiday programmes. Working alongside experienced coaches and PE staff, they will help set up, plan and deliver safe, inclusive and engaging sessions for children and young people.Day-to-day duties will include assisting with PE lessons, breakfast, lunchtime and after-school clubs, football coaching, holiday camps and community projects. The apprentice will help prepare equipment, support behaviour management, encourage participation, adapt activities for different abilities and build positive relationships with children, parents, schools and partner organisations. They will also learn about session planning, safeguarding, risk assessments, communication with schools/families and some basic admin or marketing support where appropriate.Alongside this, you will also gain your Community Activator Coach L2 qualification over the duration of 12-18 months.
