Apprentice Dental Nurse

You will be enrolled with ExeterCollege as an Apprentice Dental Nurse and mentored by experienced clinicalstaff to support the provision of a whole spectrum of modern dentistry, to thehighest clinical standards, in a safe and patient-centred environment. Thiswill include all aspects of Primary Care Dentistry and associatedadministrative tasks. Core responsibilities· Working as a chairside Dental Nurse to GeneralDental Practitioners and Dental Care Professionals.· The cleaning and decontamination of dentalinstruments and maintenance of the clinical environment, in line with infectionprotection control policies and protocol.· Engage with patient-care and foster goodcommunication skills with patients.· Support and work effectively as part of ahigh-performance, professional team.· Provide administrative support with tasks whichenable the smooth running of the dental practice.· Understand and engage with continuousprofessional development; responding positively to feedback which will aidlearning and progression. Hours: 3 x 9-hour days(Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), Tuesday is a college day (6 hours) totalling 33contracted hours per week.
