SALARY: £24,784.50 + Benefits LOCATION: Watford, Hertfordshire (WD18) JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday with a shift system from 9am to 7pm JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Trainee Administrator to join the dedicated team at Cellular Pathology Services (CPS), a respected provider of specialist digital pathology and laboratory services. As the Trainee Administrator you will be working within a medical laboratory setting, you will support a wide range of office-based administrative duties while also assisting with laboratory processes under supervision. This is a varied role where accuracy, organisation, teamwork and a professional approach are essential. DUTIES Your duties as a Trainee Administrator will include: Undertake administrative duties within the medical laboratory office Support the administrative functions of the laboratory and wider team Assist with laboratory processes under the supervision of Biomedical Science staff Help support Pathologists, Biomedical Scientists and colleagues in delivering a high-quality, patient-focused service Maintain accurate records, data entry and filing systems Handle documentation and general office administration to a high standard Follow department procedures, quality standards and company policies Comply with information governance, data security, health and safety and confidentiality requirements Carry out ad hoc duties and support continuous improvement across the team CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL Good written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational, planning and time management skills Good attention to detail and accuracy Computer literacy and confidence using standard office systems A proactive and positive approach to work Ability to work well as part of a team and use your own initiative Willingness to learn and develop in the role Ability to manage tasks effectively and maintain high standards Right to work in the UK DESIRABLE Knowledge of general office procedures, filing systems and databases Previous experience in an administrative or data entry environment Typing and transcription skills Understanding of confidentiality within a healthcare or laboratory setting Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle BENEFITS Comprehensive training and ongoing development Supportive and inclusive team culture Health insurance and company pension scheme Annual performance bonus This role requires a DBS Check NO AGENCIES PLEASE HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
