Customer Service Liaison – Production & Customer Operations Location: Milton Keynes Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Contract: Temporary initially, with the potential to become permanent for the right person About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Liaison to join our team and become the key link between our Customer Service department and Production operation. This is a newly created role designed to improve communication, strengthen relationships between teams, and ensure customer orders move smoothly from receipt through to delivery. The successful candidate will act as the connection point between Customer Service and Production, ensuring accurate information is shared, issues are identified early, and customer expectations continue to be met. As this is a new position within the business, it offers an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real impact. If the role delivers a positive improvement to operations and customer experience, there is potential for this position to become permanent. Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact between Customer Service and Production teams. Review and process customer order reports accurately, including daily order balance reports. Monitor customer orders from receipt through to completion and delivery. Communicate production updates, delays, and changes that may affect customer orders. Work closely with Production to obtain updates and resolve issues quickly. Ensure customer service teams have accurate and timely information. Attend production planning meetings and provide relevant updates. Support order prioritisation when operational demands change. Escalate urgent requirements or potential issues to the appropriate teams. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation relating to orders and production updates. About You We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and confident communicating across different areas of the business. You will be someone who can build strong professional relationships, ask the right questions, and follow issues through to resolution. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in customer service, administration, order processing, coordination, or a similar role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and finding answers. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experience using ERP, MRP, or order management systems (SAP experience desirable). Desirable Experience Experience within a manufacturing, production, logistics, or supply chain environment. Understanding of production planning and scheduling processes. Experience working with reports and analysing data. A continuous improvement mindset. What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of £14.00 per hour. Monday to Friday working hours, 08:00–16:00.
