Nightingale Homecare is looking for caring, compassionate, and reliable Home Care Assistants to join our friendly team, providing high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes in Eastbourne and Hailsham. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our clients to remain independent, safe, and comfortable in their own homes. You will build meaningful relationships with the people you support, providing not only practical help but also companionship, reassurance, and a friendly face when they need it most. Duties and responsibilities Your role will include: Providing personal care and support with dignity, respect, and compassion Supporting clients with medication and daily routines Assisting with meal preparation and light household tasks Supporting clients to maintain their independence and wellbeing Encouraging clients to take part in hobbies, interests, and activities they enjoy Providing companionship and emotional support Helping clients feel safe, valued, and cared for in their own homes Monitoring clients health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns Experience and qualifications We are looking for someone who is: Caring, kind, and passionate about supporting others Reliable and committed to providing excellent care A good communicator with a positive attitude Able to work weekdays and alternate weekends A driver with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as we provide full training, ongoing support, and guidance to help you succeed in your role.
