Temporary Habitats Operative (Seasonal)

Do you enjoy working outdoors and want to play a hands-on role in protecting and enhancing the natural environment?

Keystone Environmental's Habitats team delivers practical ecological solutions across the UK, creating, restoring and managing habitats that support wildlife and biodiversity. We're looking for a Temporary Habitats Operative to join our growing team.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll help deliver a wide range of ecological and environmental projects. Duties include habitat creation and restoration, vegetation clearance, planting, seeding, ecological fencing, ground preparation and the construction and maintenance of habitat features. You'll also work in environmentally sensitive locations, helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Full training and project-specific guidance will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical conservation skills.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Committed to health, safety and environmental best practice.
• Comfortable carrying out practical outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Willing to travel across the UK, stay away from home when required and work flexible hours to meet project needs.
• In possession of a full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

The following are advantageous but not essential:

• Experience in landscaping, forestry, agriculture, construction, grounds maintenance or ecological contracting.
• CSCS/LISS card.
• Qualifications in brushcutter, chainsaw, woodchipper, pesticide application or plant operation.
• First Aid certification.
• Trailer towing experience.
• Experience working on construction, infrastructure or environmentally sensitive sites.
