Job Description
A private family estate of around twelve acres of grounds, gardens, woodland and paddocks near Solihull seeks an experienced, practical Groundskeeper to keep the wider grounds in first-class order year-round. Full-time, permanent, live-out.
Working largely on your own initiative, you will manage grass and meadow cutting, hedges, paddocks and fencing, woodland and tree safety, drainage, pathways, leaf and green-waste clearance, composting, pest control and the upkeep of estate machinery. Several mature trees are protected, so a careful, compliance-minded approach to tree work is essential.
You will be hands-on, physically fit and capable with estate machinery: ride-on and tractor mowers, brushcutters and ideally a chainsaw. A full UK driving licence is essential; chainsaw (Lantra/NPTC) and PA1/PA6 spraying certificates and trailer/towing are advantageous.
We offer a stable, year-round position, a competitive salary (28,000 to 36,000 pounds depending on experience), workplace pension and real ownership of the grounds.
