Job DetailsHourly Rate: £13.52 per hourSalary: £24,673.97Hours: 35Contract Duration: Temporary until 30/09/2027Grade: National Living Wage Role PurposeThe post is based within Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells. Business Support provide support to Environment & Infrastructure services.
As a Modern Apprentice within the Transactions Team, your duties will include:
• Processing Invoices
• Mail Duties - processing incoming mail
• Dealing with allocated tasks within the Transactions mailbox
• Use of SBC applications such as Business World, Intranet, One Drive and Microsoft packages
• Manipulating and extracting information within Microsoft Excel
• Communicating with Service Management Staff
• Use of bespoke IT applications
• Providing Good Customer service to internal and external clients

EssentialIn accordance with Scottish Borders Councils priorities, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the Apprenticeship) to qualify for this position.
