What you will do:

• Chair Looked After Child (LAC) reviews and other statutory meetings, ensuring a child-centred and outcome-focused approach
• Monitor and quality assure care plans, ensuring they meet statutory requirements and are progressed without delay
• Act as an independent advocate for children, ensuring their views, wishes, and feelings are heard and reflected in decision-making
• Identify and escalate practice concerns through formal dispute resolution processes where care plans are not meeting required standards
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including social care, health, education, and CAFCASS, to improve outcomes for children

Person Specification

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Evidence of continuous professional development

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England
• Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989, Adoption and Children Act 2002, and Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010
• Understanding of IRO statutory guidance and safeguarding frameworks
