Our client is an established West London-based construction and main contracting company delivering high-quality residential, mixed-use and commercial schemes across the capital and beyond. Their portfolio includes landmark projects. As they continue to grow their in-house capability, they are now investing in their Commercial Quantity Surveying department / are looking for an Apprentice / Junior Quantity Surveyor / Construction Engineer. The Role Working under a senior Quantity Surveyor on projects in West London. You will provide assist with preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. Produce bills of quantities and pricing documents. Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value. Monitor project costs and report cost variances. Obtain quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors. Support the procurement of materials. Assist with post-project reviews and commercial reporting. Assist with contract administration. Attend project sites across London as required – all expenses paid. The Candidate You could have a Degree / HND / HNC / NQV or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline. Any experience gained working in a fast-moving support function within perhaps a Construction Tier 1- 3 business or engineering environment would be highly beneficial, you may possibly have construction placement year or internship experience. You will have strong numerical and analytical skills coupled with a good attention to detail. Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Have good communication skills and a key Interest in civil engineering, g & construction. This role will involve a mixture of site based and head office work in West Central London.
