HGV Class 1 Driver – Rotherham, South Yorkshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.00 per hour , ongoing work, weekly pay, a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, and career progression within a reputable logistics operation. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver , LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , Articulated Lorry Driver , Trunk Driver or Class 1 Delivery Driver . Shifts • Monday to Friday (nights out may be required) • Start times between 04:00 – 07:00 or 12:00 – 16:00 • Weekend work available to meet business needs Rates of Pay • £16.00 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: • Weekly pay • Ongoing work • Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate • Training provided • Employee wellbeing programme • Long-term career opportunities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include: • Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly • Undertaking handball duties where required • Adhering to road traffic legislation, company procedures and delivery schedules • Completing all relevant paperwork accurately Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence • Minimum of one year's HGV Class 1 driving experience • Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • Good spoken and written English • Professional and reliable approach to work Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience Training Provided • Driver assessment required prior to start • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are ready to take the next step in your driving career, apply today by clicking below.
